Core Value 12

Fairness

Justice Without Revenge

I will practice fairness—consistent standards, proportional consequences, and dignity-based accountability—so justice becomes repair instead of revenge.

Fairness is the discipline of applying the same standards whether we like someone or not. It rejects favoritism, double standards, and punishment driven by emotion.

Fairness doesn't pretend harm didn't happen—it insists that consequences match reality: proportional, consistent, and aimed at protection and repair rather than humiliation.

This value is how trust survives conflict. It's how communities enforce boundaries without becoming cruel. And it's how we stop passing pain forward as if revenge is the same thing as justice.
